About Highland PTO

Highland PTO focuses on Three Primary Goals:

1. Support and fund the Storyline teaching method by providing Storyline education, coordination and resources to our teachers.

2. Provide additional resources and support for our teachers and staff.  These include the artists in residence program, science education, technical tools/support and field trips for all grade levels.

3.  Strengthen our Community

The Storyline teaching method and additional programs help Highland maintain our state ranking as an outstanding school.

How do I join the PTO?

Highland families and teachers/staff are automatically a part of the PTO, no membership is required!  Please come to our monthly PTO general meetings, volunteer at events, and be a part of the large group of supportive Highland parents.

What is the 2016/2017 Meeting Schedule?

Our General PTO meetings are held during the second week of each month on Tuesday in the Highland Cafeteria.  Please check our Calendar to see the meeting schedule for each month.  Events and Volunteer Opportunities are discussed as well as important updates from our Principal, Mr. Kissell.  Coffee and treats are served.  Younger children are welcome to attend with you.

How do I get involved?

  • Attend our General PTO meetings to stay informed and provide feedback. Meetings will be posted on the PTO calendar, and announced via email and on our Facebook page.
  • Visit this website for updates.
  • Support our Giving Campaign - this is key to our success!  The school district does not fund the storyline teaching method.  The Storyline teaching method is 100% funded by your contributions to the PTO.
No amount of time or energy is too little - we welcome all parents to become involved in any way they can.

E-mail the PTO volunteer coordinator at volunteer@highlandpto.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities that could fit your schedule.
