The ABCs of Healthy Sleep Habits with Abigail Cannon, GSC
Is your family ready for the school start-time changes that are coming this fall? Does your family struggle with chaotic bedtimes? Is your child getting the sleep he needs to have a great school day? Join Abigail Cannon, Certified Gentle Sleep Coach for a conversation about healthy sleep habits and common sleep challenges for elementary school age children.
We’ll cover the ABCs of:
• why sleep is SO important for school age children
• sleep needs by age
• creating healthy sleep habits
• solving problems at bedtime and in the middle of the night
As a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach, Abigail helps families up and down the West Coast get a great night’s sleep. Her work is informed by the most current research on and well-rounded approaches to healthy sleep for children from birth through their early school years. Abigail received her master's degree in Chinese Medicine and spent 10 years in private practice focusing on women’s health. Her years treating prenatal and postpartum mothers gave her a deep respect for the importance of a woman's heath and well being to that of her family. Much of what inspires her work to get children and families sleeping well is her conviction that rested parents are happy parents and happy parents have happy children - sleep is good for everyone! She is committed to getting to know each family's unique personality and needs to formulate a plan that gets everyone sleeping better FAST!
